This is my first and probably only track, although I may try
a New York Rally after MTM2 comes out.. It is generally fast
but has some areas where the turns get pretty tight and care
should be taken to avoid falling into the Bay or something.

This course is designed to simulate a rally through San Francisco
and the Marin Headlands. As such, I spent a lot of time trying
to recreate a terrain and map that approximates the real thing.
Hopefully, you'll recognize the sights as your drive by. I
included a narrow, one-way tunnel that is no longer usable in
real life, as it was damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. My
biggest creative license was taken in placing Muir Woods between
Highway 101 North and Sausalito (and then driving right through
it, heh heh).

The course does not contain any custom textures or models except
for some I lifted from Yeastman's Highway 101 pod.

I also did not spend time completing the virtual world so there
isn't much to see if you stray too far from the course. If you do,
you may find yourself falling hundreds of feet into a hole or
something.

There is one shortcut. You'll have to find it. I tried to design
the shortcut so that you could gain some time on a truck following
the regular course, but at greater risk of crashing. The computer
trucks will not take the shortcut.

I spent way too much time on the computer truck course and still they
are really not very competitive. I mostly just meant this course
for racing against my brother and friends.

There are a number of improvements I would like to see in the course
but it is just too time consuming to implement them. They are:

-a custom model of Coit Tower
-some custom textures of victorian style house facades
-just more unique building facade textures
-a better, more interesting and more realistic trip through Golden
  Gate Park
-a better, more realistic trip through the Sausalito waterfront
-a redesign of the Highway just above the Golden Gate Bridge so
that you get a better view of the North Tower as you round the
  corner
-an extension of 101 N so that you could take the faster but longer
route to Sausalito if you wanted to avoid driving through what
  I call Muir Woods.

I would welcome a volunteer to implement any of the above ideas.

Lastly, I would like to thank Yeastman and Oliver Pieper for
answering some of my Tracked questions.
